Welcome to SLIS
Welcome to the Indiana University School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) program in Indianapolis. With the Bloomington program, SLIS is recognized as one of the best library and information science schools in the country and the only program accredited by the American Library Association (ALA) and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) in Indiana.
The Indianapolis program has strengths in school, public, and academic librarianship, and the faculty bring expertise from research and practice into the classroom. I encourage you to also check out our full offering of dual degree and certificate programs.
